Galatasaray’s Latest €75 Million Offer for Victor Osimhen: Napoli Holds Out for Full Release Clause

Turkish giants Galatasaray have made a renewed bid to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen permanently from Napoli, proposing a €75 million deal to be paid in installments. Despite the attractive offer, Napoli has so far rejected Galatasaray’s initial bids, insisting on the full release clause amount stipulated in Osimhen’s contract, which runs until June 2026.

Osimhen, who spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Galatasaray, impressed with a remarkable tally of 37 goals and 8 assists in 41 appearances, helping the club secure both the Süper Lig title and Turkish Cup. The striker has agreed personal terms with Galatasaray on a three-year contract, with an option for a fourth year, reportedly earning a net salary of €16 million per season, potentially rising to €25 million including bonuses and endorsements. This would make him the highest-paid player in Turkish football history.

While Osimhen is eager to continue his career in Turkey, Napoli remains firm on their valuation. The club rejected an initial €60 million offer and is awaiting a proposal that meets the €75 million release clause with favorable payment terms. Galatasaray is preparing an improved bid structured with installments and possible bonuses to close the gap.

The transfer saga has attracted attention from other top clubs, including Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal, who have also submitted a €75 million offer, but Osimhen’s preference for Galatasaray and his connection with the fans appear to be decisive factors.

If completed, this transfer would set a new record in Turkish football, surpassing Galatasaray’s previous biggest signing, Mauro Icardi, who joined for €34.5 million in 2023.

Napoli’s stance reflects their desire to maximize the return on a player who has been with the club since 2020 but has fallen out of favor and pushed for a move. The coming weeks will be crucial as Galatasaray aims to finalize this high-profile deal and secure Osimhen’s services long-term.
